Designated as the "Cameron Mayhew Act" to address school bus safety violations resulting in serious bodily injury or death.

Requires 120 community service hours in trauma centers or hospitals for violations of passing a stopped school bus (s. 316.172) that cause serious bodily injury or death.

Mandates participation in victim impact panel sessions or department-approved driver improvement courses focused on vulnerable road users for school bus passing violations causing injury or death.

Establishes a $1,500 fine for school bus passing violations causing serious bodily injury or death, with mandatory driver license suspension for not less than 1 year.

Assigns 6 points on driver license for passing a stopped school bus causing serious bodily injury or death (compared to 4 points for violations not causing injury), effective July 1, 2017.
