Amends section 366.02, Florida Statutes to exclude property owners from the definition of "public utility" when they own and operate renewable energy source devices on their property

Exempts property owners who produce and provide or sell renewable energy from devices with a capacity of up to 2.5 megawatts to users located on the same property from public utility regulation

Renewable energy devices must be defined in section 193.624(1) to qualify for the exemption

Takes effect July 1, 2017
