Amends s. 717.117, F.S. to make social security numbers and property identifiers in unclaimed property reports confidential and exempt from public records requirements.

Applies the exemption retroactively to social security numbers and property identifiers held by the department before, on, or after the exemption's effective date.

Removes the scheduled repeal date of October 2, 2017 that was previously subject to the Open Government Sunset Review Act, making the exemption permanent.

Takes effect October 1, 2017.
