Exempts personal identifying information of patients, caregivers, and physicians in the Department of Health's medical marijuana use registry from public records requirements, including names, addresses, phone numbers, and government-issued ID numbers.

Exempts all information related to physician certification orders for marijuana and dispensing records from public disclosure.

Authorizes specific access to exempt information by law enforcement investigating violations, medical marijuana treatment centers verifying certifications, treating physicians, licensed practitioners, department employees, health care regulatory boards, and bona fide researchers under specified conditions.

Requires all information released from the registry to remain confidential and exempt, and imposes third-degree felony penalties for willful and knowing violations.

Subjects the exemption to the Open Government Sunset Review Act and repeals it on October 2, 2022, unless the Legislature reviews and reenacts it.
