Designates September 2017 as "Gynecologic Cancer Awareness Month" in Florida

Notes that 71,500 women will be diagnosed with gynecologic cancer and approximately 26,500 will die from the disease in 2017 in the United States

Identifies specific gynecologic cancers and their 2017 estimated diagnoses and deaths: cervical cancer (12,820 diagnoses, 4,210 deaths), uterine cancer (61,380 diagnoses, 10,920 deaths), ovarian cancer (22,440 diagnoses, 14,080 deaths), and vulvar cancer (6,020 diagnoses, 1,150 deaths)

States that only cervical cancer has proven prevention and screening tools, and approximately 1,000 women per year are affected by the rare vaginal cancer

Commends the Betty Allen Gynecologic Cancer Foundation, founded in 2011 and based in southwest Florida, for its efforts to educate residents about gynecologic cancers
