Proposes a constitutional amendment to Article VIII, Section 1 of the Florida Constitution to restrict how property appraisers are selected and whether their office can be abolished.

Removes authority for county charters or special laws to allow property appraisers to be chosen through methods other than election by county voters.

Prevents transfer of property appraiser duties to other offices or abolition of the property appraiser position through county charter or special law.

Specifies that the property appraiser must be elected for four-year terms and that constitutional provisions regarding the selection and duties of property appraisers cannot be overridden by other constitutional provisions.

Amendment requires voter approval and takes effect January 8, 2019, if approved by Florida electors at the next general election.
