Exempts intrusion/burglary alarms installed on premises used for firearms or ammunition storage by federal firearms license holders from requiring verification calls prior to police dispatch, if the customer opts into this exemption.

Requires alarm monitoring companies to make reasonable efforts to inform firearms license-holding customers of their right to bypass the two-call verification protocol when initiating new alarm service contracts.

Expands the definition of "low-voltage alarm system project" to include low-voltage electric fences powered by commercial storage batteries not exceeding 12 volts.

Establishes requirements for low-voltage electric fences including compliance with International Electrotechnical Commission standards, enclosure by a nonelectric fence or wall, warning signs every 60 feet, and prohibition in residential zoning areas and areas used for residential purposes.

Effective date: July 1, 2017.
