Palm Beach County School Board is authorized to pay Dustin Reinhardt $1.7 million within 30 days of enactment and purchase three separate $1 million annuities over successive years beginning in 2017, with annuity payments starting September 2023, for injuries sustained from a tire explosion in auto shop class on September 4, 2013.

Attorney fees for the Dustin Reinhardt claim are capped at $940,000, lobbying fees at $235,000, and no costs or expenses may be paid; attorney and lobbying fees cannot be assessed against annuity values.

The payments to both individuals, combined with amounts already paid under state law caps, constitute sole compensation for all present and future claims related to their injuries.
