Establishes criminal penalties for willfully and maliciously damaging or defacing remembrances honoring soldiers, military figures, military organizations, law enforcement officers, firefighters, or astronauts serving NASA.

Defines "remembrance" to include exhibits, artwork, monuments, memorials, nameplates, historical markers, religious symbols, tombstones, plaques, historical flag displays, fountains, and similar objects.

Applies protections to remembrances owned by governmental entities, museums, historical societies, or similar organizations, as well as those located in cemeteries or on graves and tombs.

Classifies violations as a felony of the third degree, punishable under Florida Statutes sections 775.082, 775.083, or 775.084.

Takes effect October 1, 2017.
