Exempts personal identifying information of applicants for president, provost, or dean positions at state universities and Florida College System institutions from public records requirements under s. 119.07(1) and Article I, Section 24(a) of the State Constitution.

Exempts meetings held to identify or vet applicants for these positions from public meeting requirements under s. 286.011 and Article I, Section 24(b) of the State Constitution, but allows portions discussing qualifications or compensation frameworks to remain public unless they disclose applicant personal information.

Requires release of final group applicant names no later than 10 days before the meeting where final action or employment vote occurs, at which point those applicants' information becomes subject to standard public records laws.

Applies sunset review under the Open Government Sunset Review Act and automatically repeals on October 2, 2022, unless reenacted by the Legislature.

Establishes that the exemptions are necessary to protect currently employed applicants from jeopardizing their positions and to ensure a robust pool of qualified candidates for executive searches.
