Requires applicants to submit a completed application, fees (not to exceed $50), and proof of board certification from the national Certification Board for Music Therapists.

Registration must be renewed biennially by submitting renewal fees and proof of active board certification; registrants must notify the department within 10 days of address changes or loss of certification.

Authorizes registered music therapists to accept referrals, conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and collaborate with clients' healthcare providers and treatment teams.

Prohibits unlicensed practice of music therapy but exempts licensed professionals using music incidentally in their practice, students in accredited programs, and individuals working under supervision of registered music therapists.
