Amends Florida Statutes Section 489.529 to modify alarm verification call requirements for residential and commercial intrusion/burglary alarms with central monitoring.

Clarifies that verification calls must be made to "a telephone number associated with" the premises generating the alarm signal prior to law enforcement dispatch.

Exempts alarm verification calling if the alarm has a properly operating visual or auditory sensor that enables monitoring personnel to verify the alarm signal.

Exempts alarm verification calling if the alarm is installed at a premises used for storage of firearms or ammunition by a person holding a valid federal firearms license as a manufacturer, importer, or dealer.

Takes effect July 1, 2017.
