Changes SAT/ACT score requirements for Florida Academic Scholars award eligibility, lowering thresholds from 1290 SAT/29 ACT to 1280 SAT/27 ACT for 2017-2018 graduates, with further reductions in subsequent years to 1270 SAT/26 ACT by 2019-2020.

Reduces SAT/ACT score requirements for Florida Medallion Scholars award from 1170 SAT/26 ACT to 1100 SAT/22 ACT for 2017-2018 graduates, with additional decreases to 970 SAT/18 ACT by 2019-2020.

Expands Florida Academic Scholars award to cover 100 percent of tuition and eligible fees plus $300 per semester for textbooks and college-related expenses, beginning fall 2017.

Expands Florida Medallion Scholars award to cover 75 percent of tuition and eligible fees plus $200 per semester for textbooks and college-related expenses, beginning fall 2017.

Allows students to use Bright Futures awards for summer term enrollment, with the Legislature required to appropriate necessary additional funds rather than limiting usage to when funds are available.
