Allows private school middle and high school students not enrolled in FHSAA member schools to participate in interscholastic or intrascholastic sports at public schools.

Expands eligibility to public schools where students would be assigned according to district attendance area policies or schools students could choose to attend under s. 1002.31, replacing previous language limiting participation to zoned schools only.

Requires private school students' parents to register in writing with the public school by a deadline set for each sport to indicate intent to participate.

Mandates private school student participants meet the same eligibility standards, conduct requirements, educational progress benchmarks, and performance standards as other students participating in public school or FHSAA member private school sports.

Effective date: July 1, 2017.
