Requires health insurance policies covering prescription eye drops to provide coverage for renewal refills if the insured requests them at least 21 days (30-day supply), 42 days (60-day supply), or 63 days (90-day supply) after the original prescription or last refill, and the original prescription authorizes additional quantities.

Mandates coverage for one additional bottle of prescription eye drops every 3 months if requested at the time of original fill and the prescription states the additional bottle is needed for use in a day care center or school.

Subjects prescription eye drop benefits to the same annual deductibles, copayments, and coinsurance as other prescription drug benefits under the policy.

Extends the requirements to group health insurance, blanket health insurance, and franchise health insurance policies.

Effective date: July 1, 2017.
