• Establishes the Physical Therapy Licensure Compact allowing physical therapists and assistants to practice across multiple member states under a single multistate license while maintaining home state regulation.

• Creates the Physical Therapy Compact Commission with one delegate per member state to adopt uniform rules, maintain a coordinated licensure information system, and oversee compact administration.

• Requires member states to implement criminal background checks using FBI records, utilize recognized national examinations, and maintain continuing competence requirements for licensure.

• Permits active duty military members and their spouses to designate their home state as the state of home record, permanent change of station, or current residence for licensing purposes.

• Grants remote states authority to take adverse action against a licensee's compact privilege and requires notification to the home state; allows home states to impose discipline based on investigative information from other member states.

• Effective July 1, 2017, or when nine other states enact the compact, whichever is later.
