Creates the Hometown Heroes Pilot Program in Hernando County to stimulate the local economy and fund qualified nonprofit agencies providing services to county residents.

Allows corporations with physical locations in Hernando County to request transfer of up to $300,000 total in previously-paid state sales and use taxes, with individual corporations limited to requesting between $2,500 and $30,000 per fiscal year.

Requires qualified nonprofit agencies to be nonprofits physically located in Hernando County, operating for 3+ consecutive years with audited financial records, and excludes agencies providing or funding abortion services.

Mandates nonprofit agencies submit annual applications to the Department of Economic Opportunity by May 31 and requires corporations to submit applications to the Department of Revenue; the Department of Revenue must transfer approved funds within 60 days.

Establishes a penalty of 100 percent of sought funds plus second-degree misdemeanor charges for any person who falsely files an application or unlawfully attempts to receive transferred sales and use taxes.
