Amends body camera recording retention requirements for law enforcement agencies in Florida to require retention for at least 90 days, or longer if a complaint related to the recording is filed in court or with the agency.

Requires law enforcement agencies to retain body camera recordings for the entire duration that a complaint remains open if a complaint is filed regarding the recording.

Maintains existing exemptions for body camera recordings taken in private residences, health care facilities, or places where a reasonable person would expect privacy.

Specifies that law enforcement agencies must be given notice and opportunity to participate in any proceeding regarding disclosure of body camera recordings.

Takes effect July 1, 2017, and is subject to the Open Government Sunset Review Act with scheduled repeal on October 2, 2020, unless reenacted by the Legislature.
