Requires supervisors of elections to establish an election alert system to notify electors of voting information.

Supervisors must provide electors the ability to receive alerts through their Internet website, voter registration form, or both.

Alert system must send text messages or email notifications by 11 a.m. on the first day of early voting and on election day informing electors that voting has begun and any changes to voting hours or locations.

Messages and emails must include a link to precinct polling places and their operating hours.

Effective date is July 1, 2017.
