Creates section 732.112 of Florida Statutes to void any contractual arrangement of a decedent (including insurance policies, annuity policies, pensions, or other entitlements) that does not name the decedent's dependent descendants as beneficiaries.

Requires the decedent's ownership interest in such arrangements to be distributed per stirpes with each dependent descendant's portion held in trust until age 18.

Allows a dependent descendant's guardian to use necessary funds from the trust for the descendant's support before reaching age 18.

States that it is public policy of Florida to protect dependent descendants by safeguarding their financial well-being.

Takes effect July 1, 2017.
