Prohibits legislators and statewide elected officers from personally representing clients for compensation before any state government body or agency (except judicial tribunals) for 6 years after leaving office.

Reduces the post-service restriction period for appointed state officers from 6 years to 2 years following vacation of office.

Eliminates a previous prohibition that prevented former legislators from acting as lobbyists before executive branch agencies, agency officials, or employees for 2 years after leaving office.

Applies only to individuals who served as legislators or statewide elected officers at any time after November 8, 2016.

Takes effect July 1, 2018.
