Amends Florida Statutes section 400.506 regarding penalties for unlicensed nurse registries and removes the "within 10 working days" timeframe for compliance notification.

Changes the penalty for continued operation of unlicensed nurse registries after agency notification from a fixed amount to fines in accordance with section 408.812, including $500 per day of noncompliance.

Deletes provisions that authorized the Agency for Health Care Administration to deny, suspend, or revoke nurse registry licenses and impose $5,000 fines for paying remuneration to case managers, discharge planners, facility staff, physicians, or their family members in exchange for patient referrals.

Removes exemptions from the above remuneration restrictions for nurse registries that do not bill Florida Medicaid or Medicare programs or share controlling interests with certain licensed entities.

Takes effect July 1, 2018.
