Requires vehicles used by child care facilities and large family child care homes to be equipped with a reliable alarm system that prompts drivers to inspect the vehicle for children before exiting, effective January 1, 2019.

Directs the Department of Children and Families to adopt rules establishing minimum safety standards for alarm systems and maintain a list of approved alarm manufacturers and systems.

Amends section 402.305, Florida Statutes to add alarm system requirements to existing transportation safety standards, which already include child restraints, annual inspections, and child capacity limits.

Effective date is July 1, 2018.
