Amends section 409.1678, F.S. to modify specialized treatment requirements for residential treatment centers and hospitals serving commercially sexually exploited children in department custody.

Eliminates certain treatment requirements while retaining requirements from subparagraphs (2)(c)1. and 3.-7., paragraph (2)(d), and department-adopted treatment standards.

Allows residential treatment centers or hospitals to prioritize delivery of certain required services to meet the specific treatment needs of individual children.

Requires facilities to serve children in single-sex groups and ensure staff receive adequate training in trauma effects, sexual exploitation, and strength-based and trauma-informed approaches.

Effective date: July 1, 2018.
