Allows students to use credits earned from completion of registered apprenticeship or preapprenticeship programs under chapter 446 to satisfy high school graduation credit requirements in either paragraph (3)(e) or paragraph (3)(g)

Requires the State Board of Education to approve and identify apprenticeship and preapprenticeship programs in the Course Code Directory from which earned credits may be used toward graduation

Maintains existing requirements that career education courses must include workforce and digital literacy skills, industry certifications, and practical applications with authentic projects and problems for contextual learning

Takes effect July 1, 2018
