Creates section 633.217 of Florida Statutes prohibiting any person from threatening, coercing, tricking, persuading, or otherwise influencing fire safety inspectors into violating the Florida Fire Prevention Code, State Fire Marshal rules, or related statutes.

Prohibits offering compensation to fire safety inspectors to induce violations of the Florida Fire Prevention Code, State Fire Marshal rules, or related statutes.

First violation is a first-degree misdemeanor punishable under sections 775.082 or 775.083.

Second or subsequent violations are third-degree felonies punishable under sections 775.082 or 775.083.

Effective date is October 1, 2018.
