Department of Children and Families authorized to align Temporary Cash Assistance Program eligibility requirements with food assistance and medical assistance programs to simplify administration, provided changes do not increase income or resource eligibility standards.

Department shall impose a $5,000 resource limit for food assistance households (subject to federal approval), and requires specific legislative authorization before seeking waivers that expand resource eligibility beyond this limit.

Department shall implement asset verification procedures to determine food assistance program eligibility upon federal approval of resource eligibility standards.

CareerSource Florida, Inc. must contract with a vendor by October 31, 2018, to develop a pilot program serving temporary cash assistance recipients with significant employment barriers, with at least three local workforce boards selected to conduct the program.

$3,342,525 appropriated for food assistance asset verification implementation and $500,000 appropriated to develop and implement the pilot employment program for disadvantaged workers; comprehensive pilot program report due to Governor and Legislature by December 15, 2021.
