Counties and municipalities authorized to issue building permit fees must post their permit and inspection fee schedules on their websites

Local governments must post building permit and inspection utilization reports on their websites by December 31, 2019, and update reports before making any fee schedule adjustments

Utilization reports must include direct and indirect enforcement costs, number of permits requested and issued, number of inspections conducted, personnel counts, salary and benefit costs, revenue from fees and fines, investment earnings, and fund balances

Building Code enforcement fees may only cover direct costs like plan review, inspections, permit processing, and code enforcement—not planning and zoning, public building inspections at reduced rates, or unrelated programs
