Exempts persons engaged in, traveling to, or returning from outdoor activities (fishing, hiking, hunting, bicycling, boating, camping, rock climbing, nature photography, and similar activities) from Florida firearms carrying restrictions under s. 790.053 and 790.06.

Exempts persons traveling to or returning from motor vehicles, residences, dwellings, shelters, hotels, or any other place where firearms may be lawfully possessed from firearm carrying restrictions.

Updates cross-references in s. 27.53 regarding investigators employed by public defenders and criminal conflict and civil regional counsel who carry concealed weapons during official duties, changing reference from s. 790.25(3)(q) to s. 790.25(3)(o).

Effective date is July 1, 2018.
