Requires persons engaged in leasing, renting, or granting licenses for vacation rental use to display a valid certificate of registration number in each rental listing or advertisement.

Imposes a penalty of $50 per day for failure to display the required certificate of registration number until compliance is achieved.

Increases the penalty to $100 per day for repeat violations of the certificate display requirement.

Establishes a first-degree misdemeanor for engaging in vacation rental business without registering, with a $100 registration fee that may be waived for reasonable cause.

Takes effect July 1, 2018.
