Amends section 1012.98, Florida Statutes to require the Department of Education's web-based statewide performance-support system to include sample course-at-a-glance and unit overview templates for school districts to use in curriculum development.

Templates must address Florida Standards, grade-level expectations, evidence outcomes, and 21st century skills while supporting teaching to greater intellectual depth and emphasizing transfer and application of concepts.

Each template must provide course or year-long sequencing of concept-based unit overviews, describe necessary knowledge and vocabulary, promote instructional shifts within standards, and illustrate grade-level expectation interdependence within and across content areas.

Requires the performance-support system to include a database of exemplary professional development activities and a listing of available professional development resources, training programs, and technical assistance.

Takes effect July 1, 2018.
