Amends section 409.904 of Florida Statutes to add a new subsection (12) authorizing optional Medicaid payments for a specific category of low-income persons.

Authorizes the Agency for Health Care Administration to make payments for medical assistance and related services on behalf of individuals meeting income, assets, and categorical eligibility tests under federal and state law.

Limits authorization to individuals described in section 1902(a)(10)(A)(i)(VIII) of the Social Security Act.

Makes payments subject to availability of appropriated moneys and any limitations established by the General Appropriations Act or chapter 216.

Takes effect July 1, 2018.
