Creates the Broward County Hospital District Study Group to examine issues and make recommendations regarding the South Broward Hospital District and North Broward Hospital District.

Membership includes two House members and two Senate members from Broward County (appointed by legislative leaders), CEOs and chairs from both hospital districts, Broward County Mayor, Governor's appointee, Chief Medical Officers from both districts, and a consumer representative.

Study group members must be appointed by July 30, 2018, hold their first meeting by September 1, 2018, and submit final report to legislative leaders by January 28, 2019.

Study group will conduct meetings, evaluate findings, and develop recommendations regarding changes to hospital districts and improvements to quality and cost of health care in Broward County, with both districts required to provide all requested data.

Members serve without compensation, and the study group is abolished upon submission of the final report; the Broward County Legislative Delegation provides staff assistance.
