Board members of the Florida Keys Mosquito Control District shall serve no more than three 4-year terms for a maximum of 12 years total.

An appointed member serving more than one-half of a vacated term will have that entire 4-year term counted toward the 12-year maximum.

Term limits apply prospectively only, with computation beginning at the conclusion of current members' present terms.

Members who served on the board before October 4, 2018, will not have their prior service counted toward term limits.

The act takes effect upon becoming law.
