Authorizes the City of Tampa to enter into supplemental contracts with firefighters and police officers to increase survivor pension benefits when a member dies in the line of duty.

Increases widow or widower pension from 65% to 100% of the member's final year's earnings when death occurs while performing duties.

Increases the combined maximum benefit cap for widow/widower and children from 95% to 100% of final yearly earnings.

Requires active members to sign the supplemental contract by October 1, 2018, while new members joining the pension fund after enactment must accept the new terms as a condition of membership.

Effective upon becoming law.
