Defines "nonprofit surgical training center" as a nonprofit center owned by a statutory teaching hospital that offers at least 100 hours per year of continuing medical education courses approved by the Board of Medicine or appropriate regulatory board.

Authorizes nonprofit surgical training centers to become recipients of anatomical gifts if they meet three specified criteria.

Requires nonprofit surgical training centers to not provide human remains to any other facility.

Requires nonprofit surgical training centers to contract with a licensed funeral director under chapter 497 for disposal and transportation of human remains.

Limits promotion of anatomical gift programs to hospitals, nursing homes, or hospice programs that are wholly owned or controlled by the same parent company that owns the nonprofit surgical training center.

Takes effect July 1, 2018.
