Defines "computer science" as the study of computers and algorithmic processes, including hardware/software design, applications, and their societal impact, encompassing coding and programming.

Requires public schools to provide K-12 students opportunities to learn computer science, with coding instruction in elementary and middle school, and mandatory computer science/coding/programming courses in middle and high schools.

Mandates the Department of Education identify computer science courses in the Course Code Directory and publish them by July 1, 2018, and requires Florida Virtual School to offer identified courses with districts providing access through FVS or other means if not offered locally.

Allows school districts to apply for funding to train classroom teachers to earn educator certificates or industry certifications in computer science, with equitable statewide distribution based on student population.

Establishes teacher bonuses of $1,000 per year (up to 3 years) for teachers with computer science educator certificates, and $500 per year (up to 3 years) for those with associated industry certifications, contingent on effective/highly effective evaluations.
