Requires health insurance policies that cover family members on an expense-incurred basis to provide coverage for hearing aids prescribed, fitted, and dispensed by licensed audiologists for children from birth through 21 years of age.

Mandates minimum coverage of $3,500 per ear within a 24-month period.

Allows a new 24-month coverage period to begin if a child experiences a significant and unexpected change in hearing or a medical condition requiring a hearing aid change before the existing 24-month period expires and alterations cannot meet the child's needs.

Limits insured responsibility to costs exceeding the policy's coverage amount for hearing aids and related services.

Applies to policies issued or renewed on or after January 1, 2019, with the act taking effect January 1, 2019.
