CS/HB 6037 - Fireworks

• Repeals section 791.015 that required registration of manufacturers, distributors, wholesalers, and retailers of sparklers with the Division of State Fire Marshal

• Deletes provisions regulating the sale or use of fireworks and eliminates the requirement that only registered entities may sell fireworks or sparklers

• Maintains existing local authority for county commissioners and municipalities to adopt rules and grant permits for supervised public fireworks displays with competent operators

• Updates statutory references and conforming provisions related to the definition of sparklers and novelty items like party poppers, boody traps, and snappers that are permitted for sale at all times

• Takes effect upon becoming law
