Authorizes the North Broward Hospital District to pay $608,554.78 to Charles Pandrea as compensation for the death of his wife Janet Pandrea resulting from medical negligence.

Janet Pandrea died on April 2, 2002, after being misdiagnosed with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma by pathologist Peter Tsivis, M.D., when she actually had a benign thymoma, leading to unnecessary chemotherapy and complications.

A jury verdict on June 8, 2005, awarded $8,069,803.50 with the North Broward Hospital District found 10 percent at fault; the district has already paid the statutory limit of $200,000 under Florida law, leaving $608,554.78 unpaid.

Payment limits are imposed: attorney fees capped at $115,625.41, lobbying fees at $36,513.29, and costs and expenses at $2,129.81.

The combined payments under this act and prior statutory payment constitute sole compensation for all claims arising from Janet Pandrea's death.
