• A May 2015 settlement agreement valued the case at $1.95 million; the Division of Risk Management already paid $200,000 under statutory liability limits, with this appropriation satisfying the remaining $1.75 million balance.

• Attorney fees for this claim are capped at 25 percent of the appropriated amount, and the combined payments constitute sole compensation for all present and future claims related to the incident.
