Authorizes Palm Beach County to pay $312,546.56 to Ruth Arizpe to satisfy an unpaid judgment balance from a personal injury lawsuit stemming from a February 5, 2015 incident on a Palm-Tran bus where a driver's abrupt acceleration caused her to fall and sustain lumbar spine and knee injuries.

Compensates Arizpe for medical bills totaling $45,150.72 and projected future medical costs of $484,198.25; the jury originally determined total damages of $869,348.97, reduced to $478,141.93 after accounting for comparative negligence findings.

Palm Beach County previously paid the $200,000 sovereign immunity limit under Florida Statutes s. 768.28, leaving the $312,546.56 balance to be appropriated from unencumbered county funds.

Limits attorney fees relating to this act to a maximum of 25 percent of the awarded amount ($312,546.56), making the sole and final compensation for all present and future claims arising from the incident.

Takes effect upon becoming law.
