Amends section 627.3518, Florida Statutes, to remove the scheduled repeal of the public records exemption for proprietary business information provided by insurers to the Citizens Property Insurance Corporation policyholder eligibility clearinghouse.

Designates proprietary business information (including trade secrets and competitive information) as confidential and exempt from public records requirements under Florida Statute 119.07(1) and Florida Constitution Article I, Section 24(a).

Permits disclosure of exempt proprietary business information only with prior written consent from the insurer, pursuant to court order, or to other state/federal agencies that agree in writing to maintain confidential status and have legal authority to do so.

Removes the sunset provision that would have caused the exemption to automatically expire on October 2, 2018, making the exemption permanent unless the Legislature subsequently repeals it.

Takes effect October 1, 2018.
