Designates January 11, 2018, as "Wildcat Day" in Florida to honor Bethune-Cookman University

Recognizes the university's founding on October 3, 1904, by Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune with minimal resources and its growth from an elementary school to a university achieving university status in 2007

Notes the university currently enrolls 4,140 students and offers 43 degrees through 12 academic schools and colleges, including 7 graduate programs and 11 online degrees

Acknowledges the university's recent achievements including highest enrollment in school history, largest freshman class of over 1,300 students, and becoming the first Florida college and second historically black college nationally to obtain USDLA Certification with online operations in 25 states and the Bahamas

Directs presentation of the resolution to interim president Judge Hubert L. Grimes (Retired), who brought 25 years of judicial and administrative experience to the position
