Commends John A. Delaney on his extraordinary achievements as president of the University of North Florida during his tenure beginning in 2003.

UNF grew from 2,027 students in 1972 to 16,500 diverse students from 49 states and 71 countries, now awarding approximately 4,000 degrees annually through 55 undergraduate, 30 graduate, and 5 doctoral programs.

Under Delaney's leadership, private support increased to more than $262 million since 2003, with the endowment more than doubling from $43.8 million to $110 million.

UNF expanded campus facilities by approximately 2 million square feet, achieved 13 LEED-certified structures, transitioned to NCAA Division I athletics in 2005, and earned recognition as one of the best colleges in the Southeast for nine consecutive years.

Congratulates President Delaney on his retirement effective May 31, 2018, during which he will have awarded more than half of the 95,459 degrees granted since the university opened in 1972.
