Creates the "Florida Competitive Workforce Act" adding sexual orientation and gender identity as impermissible grounds for discrimination in public lodging, food service establishments, employment, housing, and public accommodations.

Defines "gender identity" as gender-related identity, appearance, or behavior regardless of whether it differs from assigned sex at birth, demonstrated through medical history, consistent assertion, or other evidence of sincere core identity.

Defines "sexual orientation" as an individual's heterosexuality, homosexuality, or bisexuality.

Includes constitutional religious freedom exceptions allowing religious organizations and certain employers to make employment or accommodation decisions based on religion, and preserving free exercise of religion protections.

Effective date July 1, 2018.
