Creates s. 295.156, F.S. to authorize the Department of Veterans' Affairs to contract with individuals, nonprofits, universities, and Florida College System institutions to provide alternative treatments for veterans certified with traumatic brain injury or posttraumatic stress disorder.

Defines nine alternative treatment options including accelerated resolution therapy, acupuncture, equine therapy, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, meditation therapy, music therapy, outdoor and indoor sports therapy, service animal training therapy, and yoga therapy.

Requires all alternative treatment provision to be under the direction and supervision of individuals licensed under chapters 458, 459, 460, 490, or 491 (physicians, osteopaths, chiropractors, psychology, or marriage and family therapy).

Specifies that acupuncture must be provided by a licensed acupuncturist and hyperbaric oxygen therapy must be provided by a licensed facility operator with a written prescription from a licensed physician or osteopath.

Takes effect July 1, 2018, subject to legislative appropriation.
