Creates an exception to the 12-month reemployment limitation for Florida Retirement System retirees, allowing them to be reemployed before the 12-month period ends if employed on a part-time basis and not qualified to receive retirement benefits during the reemployment period.

Applies to retirees whose retirement became effective before July 1, 2010, or whose Deferred Retirement Option Program participation terminated before that date.

Maintains existing protections requiring written notice to employers and the Division of Retirement, with retirees and employers remaining jointly and severally liable for any benefits paid in violation of reemployment limitations.

Takes effect July 1, 2018.
