Amends requirements for hospitals seeking Level I adult cardiovascular program licensure under Florida Statutes section 408.0361.

Changes terminology from "inpatients" to "patients" for hospitals required to discharge or transfer at least 300 individuals with principal diagnosis of ischemic heart disease in the most recent 12-month period.

Allows hospitals located more than 100 road miles from the nearest Level II cardiovascular services program to demonstrate only a minimum of 100 adult diagnostic cardiac catheterizations instead of 300 in the most recent 12-month period.

Exempts hospitals more than 100 road miles away from Level II programs from the 60-minute patient transfer time requirement if they have a written transfer agreement with a Level II hospital and written protocols accounting for clinical, physical, road, weather conditions, and ambulance service availability.

Effective date: July 1, 2018.
