Define "advanced life support nontransport services" as the provision of advanced life support by a licensee in an emergency until arrival of an ambulance or air ambulance, including responses to 911 calls.

Exempt governmental entities that maintain fire rescue infrastructure and provide first responders from obtaining a certificate of public convenience and necessity to provide advanced life support nontransport services, provided they meet chapter requirements and use countywide common medical protocols if established.

Require exempted governmental entities to notify counties and municipalities in their proposed service areas of their application submission to the state.

Restrict the exemption from certificate of public convenience and necessity requirements in counties with countywide emergency medical services authorities created by special act or with governmental entities contracting with private entities for fire rescue services.

Update cross-references throughout Florida Statutes to reflect new subsection numbering in section 401.23 due to the addition of the advanced life support nontransport services definition; effective July 1, 2018.
